Idalene Dennler, 68, of Le Mars, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at her home following a lengthy illness.
Idalene Dennler was born April 29, 1941, in Little Rock, Ark., one of two daughters born to Jack and Lorina Caldwell. She attended school in Jacksonville, Ark.
On Feb. 28, 1959, Idalene and Gale Duncan Dennler were united in marriage in North Little Rock, Ark. The couple moved to Le Mars shortly after their marriage.
In 1964, Idalene and Gale moved to Jacksonville, Ark. Idalene worked at various grocery store meat departments in the area. They raised their children and returned to Le Mars in July 1996 to retire.
Idalene will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gale of Le Mars; two sons, Douglas Dennler of Judsonia, Ark., and Richard Allen Dennler and his wife Sandy of Searcy City, Ark.; two grandchildren Jennifer of Judsonia, Ark., and Richard Allen Dennler Jr. of Searcy City, Ark.; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Jackie Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Monday) at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The Rev. Janis M. Christensen of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Merrill. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home.
