Hatton Rites Set For Today at Ireton

Funeral services for Thomas H Hatton, 85, of Ireton, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Thursday, at the First Reformed Church in Ireton with Rev. Harold Lenters officiating. Mrs. Jake Kramer will be the organist. Casket bearers will be Fred Schutte, Eldo Degen, Ora Grau, Adolph Twillman, Louis Goodmanson and Charles Heidbrink. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Hatton died Sunday, February 22, at the Maples Nursing Home in Hawarden.,

He was born April 23, 1884, at Ireton and farmed in the Ireton and Craig areas for many years. He was a resident of Ireton since 1955. In 1905 he married Florence Morey at Ireton. She preceded him in death in 1929. Survivors are a daughters, Mrs. Elsie James of Sioux City; four grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
