CLAUDE W. ANDERSON
Claude W. Anderson, 87, of Akron, died Friday (March 9, 1984) at the Akron Hospital after a short illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Schroeder Funeral Home at Akron. Rev. Lester Norton officiated and burial was in the Riverside Cemetery at Akron. Military graveside rites were conducted by Hoschler Post 186, American Legion, Freedom Lodge 434, AF&AM, conducted Masonic services at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Anderson was born March 28, 1896, at Akron and was a lifelong resident of the community. He worked as a carpenter most of his life before retiring in 1970. He was a veteran of World War I and a 50-year Mason.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Vera) Stevens of Sioux City; Ruth Sawyer of Hawarden; and Arta Akers of Mount Prospect, Ill.; a brother, H.P. Anderson of Akron; and several nieces and nephews.
