Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sat., May 27, for Marvin L. Becker, 66, rural Madison, who died May 24, 2006, at his residence. The Rev. Keith Bundy will officiate in the Ellsworth Funeral Home, and burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military honors by the Madison American Legion.

Richard Wolf will provide music. Honorary casketbearers are Hans Mauf, Kenneth Doering and Jessica Scott. Casketbearers are Dudley Nelson, Bob Richter, Art Mauf, Dale Griepp, Daryl Becker and Brad Minor.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Ellsworth Funeral Home.

Becker was born on Oct. 21, 1939, at Madison to Helmuth and Anna (Uthe) Becker. He graduated from General Beadle High School in Madison in 1957; attended General Beadle College in Madison; and later attended Pimma College in Tucson, Ariz. He lived in Madison until enlisting in the Air Force in 1960. He then lived in Tucson from 1960 until returning to Madison in 1997. He was in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Arizona Air National Guard. He worked as a car and aircraft mechanic and general maintenance in Tucson. He was a member of Tucson Baptist Church and later attended the Nazarene Church in Madison. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 25 of Madison.

Survivors include four sons, Robert, Marc, John and David, all of Tucson; several grandchildren; his mother, Anna Becker of Madison; a brother, Francis "Frank" (Opal) of Madison; an aunt, cousin, nephew, niece, great-nieces and great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Helmuth; and an adopted daughter, Regina.
