ROBT. LE MASTERS

Robert F. LeMasters passed away at his home early Thursday morning following a heart attack. He resided at 30 – 4th Ave. N.E., having moved there this month after retiring from employment at Cherokee where he has been employed the past 11 years.

Previous to his employment at Cherokee he was employed as custodian at Central high school, LeMars, for 14 years.

Mr. LeMasters was born on August 21, 1881, at Middletown, Mo.

He was united in marriage to Ersie Gilbert of Middletown, Mo., on September 13, 1905, and settled in LeMars in June 1927, having previously resided at Rock Rapids and Cherokee.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Marvin F. LeMasters, LeMars, Iowa; three brothers, Rueben and Lemon of Middletown, Mo., Darius of Vandalia, Mo. one sister, Mrs. W. T. Biggs, of Goodland, Mo.

Funeral services were held at Luken’s funeral home Sunday, July 5th, 1953, at 2 p.m. Burial was in City Cemetery. Rev. H. V. Bartz officiating.

Pallbearers were Jack A Schultz, Henry Schultz, Joel Shepherd, George Sturges, T.B. Byrne and Jake Hoorneman.
