Hobert Null, 48, Dies in Minnesota
Hobert Null of Backus, Minnesota, 48, a former resident of Hawarden, died Tuesday morning (Feburary 14, 1956) in a hospital at Brainerd, Minnesota, from a heart ailment.
Mr. Null was taken ill the last part of January and had been in the hospital about two weeks. Previously, he apparently had been in good health.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Pine River, Minnesota.
A son of the late Dr. and Mrs. F.F. Null, he was born April 26, 1907, and spent his early days at Struble. Later he moved with his parents to Ireton. He came to Hawaden in 1922 and was graduated from the local high school. He also attended military school at Shattuck, Minnesota and the University of Iowa.
During World War II he enlisted in the army and served overseas. While in England he was married and brought his bride to the United States.
Beside the widow, Nancy, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Raymond Gregory of Galveston, Texas, and two brothers, Raymond of Chicago and Capt. Frederick Null, who is stationed with the Air Force in New Foundland.
