Funeral services for Carl W. F. Baack will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 11 at St. John's American Lutheran church in Craig. Rev. W. K. Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Maurer funeral home in charge of arrangement.
Carl William Frederick Baack was born on March 14, 1893, in Reading townshp, Sioux county. On January 23, 1919, he was united in marriage with Katherine Plueger at her farm home near Craig. To this union were born 5 children. Mr. Baack farmed in Sioux county until 1941 when he and his family moved to Plymouth county. He passed away on Tuesday, June 8 at the Sacred Heart hospital where he had been confined after suffering a heart attack 3 weeks ago. Decreased was 60 years 2 month and 24 days old.
Survivors include the widow, Katherine and 4 children. They are Mrs. Wilmar (Dorothy) Klemme of Akron, Donald of Lemars, Doris and Duane, both at home. ALso 3 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Fred and George of LeMars, Edward of Struble and Walter of Craig; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Louise Heien and Mrs. Lillian Lahr both of LeMars.
Mr. Baack was preceded in death by his parents, 1 infant daughter, Deloris and 2 brothers.
Deceased was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church in Craig, and the American Legion Wasmer Post, LeMars.
