Frederick K. Husmann, longtime LeMars resident passed away at his home at 327 4th Ave northwest Wednesday, March 20, 1963 after suffering an atack. He death was unexpected.

Mr. Husmann was born March 10, 1871 in Germany. He farmed near Beresford, South Dakota, Hawarden and Hinton and Merrill. He came to this country in 1893.

His marriage to Magretha Ressen took place June 14, 1901 in LeMars.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22 at 2 PM at St. John's American church here. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, Merrill. Rev. L.L. Beck and Rev. Robert Floy will officiate at last rites. Luken's funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.

A family prayer service will be held Thursday evening at 8 PM at Lukens Funeral home. Friends may call from Thursday noon until Friday noon when Mr. Husmann will be taken to the church.

Survivors include: his widow, Magretha; nine children, Tena of LeMars; Fred C of Akron; Henry of Westbrook, Minnesota; John of Quimby; Albert of Merrill; Alfred of Sioux City; Mrs. Louis (Julia) Baack of Hinton; Mrs. Clarence (Christine) Carstensen, Merrill; Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Madden of Kingsley; 25 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and two sisters.
