Succumbs in Local Hospital
Following a Heart Attack

Joseph Gatrell passed away on Tuesday at 7/30 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Hospital at LeMars, following a heart attack. Mr. Gatrell was 50 years of age at the time of his death.

Deceased was born at Logansport, Indiana, on April 4, 1893. His parents died when he was a child and he made his own way from the age of nine years. He came to Plymouth County about 30 years ago, working around Merrill and for the past 15 years had made his home with and worked for A. E. Tucker. When Mr. and Mrs. Tucker retired from the farm this spring, Mr. Gatrell continued to make his home with them.

Mr. Gatrell leaves no relatives to mourn his passing, but has a host of friends who will mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at Mauer Funeral Home with Rev. T. P. Holcomb officiating. Interment was made in the City Cemetery.
