SUICIDE ENDS LONG ILLNESS
Services Held Monday For Bill Brunskill

Funeral services for William G. Brunkskill, 64, were held Monday afternoon at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home, conducted by the Rev. H.V. Bartz. Burial was in the City Cemetery.

Mr. Brunskill, whose father was one of the community’s first settlers, for many years raised pure-bred stock on an acreage just west of town, and conducted a dairy business there.

He was also active in civic and fraternal activities, particularly in the Elks club, which he had served long and faithfully as a trustee.

He had been in poor health for a number of years, and in recent months his activities had been particularly restricted because of his heart ailment.

When his wife returned Friday afternoon from a shopping trip, she found he had hanged himself in the basement of their home. Coroner S.H. Luken termed the death a suicide.

Mr. Brunskill was born Aug. 2, 1887, in LeMars and had spent all his life here. His marriage to Sadie Cunningham took place Feb. 26, 1914.

Their home for many years was on the northwest corner of the intersection of Plymouth street and No. 75 now occupied by the Decker and Ludwig service station.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mildred Metcalf, Monticello, Minn.
