Alton Review, May 29, 1885.IRETON: (from the correspondent)
A terrible accident happened south of town (Ireton - possibly into Plymouth
county) last Saturday afternoon. Three orphan children living with Mr.
Maloney were out on the road driving cattle; two were on foot and one was on
a pony. A stroke of lightening fell upon the two on foot, instantly killing
both of them, and the one on the pony was knocked off, but not seriously
hurt. The little boy that was killed was not marked by the charge, but the
little girl was badly torn and mangled. The name of the children was
Kelley.
