WAS A FORMER HINTON RESIDENT

Harold E. Perdue, 45, publisher of the Keokuk County News, died November 23, in the Veterans hospital at Iowa City. Death was attributed to cancer which had spread to the brain.

Surviving him are his wife; two sons, Mike and Johnny; his mother, Mrs. Catherine Perdue of Sigourney, Iowa; and one sister, (Eileen) Mrs. George Buxton, of Oorvallis, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Perdue, who passed away April 22, 1952.

Charlie Perdue was a former editor of a newspaper at Hinton leaving here in 1913.
