GERD GRAHLMANN SUCCUMBS AFTER HEART ATTACK

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home for Gerd Grahlmann, 59, who died unexpectedly Saturday evening at Sacred Heart Hospital after suffering a heart attack while shoveling snow at his home.

Mr. Grahlmann, who was employed as a traveling interviewer for the Iowa Employment service, had lived in LeMars all his life.

He was born here Aug. 13, 1893, and attended the local schools. His marriage to Maude Langendorfer took place Jan. 19, 1921, at Watertown, S.D.

Surviving are his wife; three sons and a daughter, Robert, New Braunfels, Texas, William, Rock Island, Ill., Donald, stationed at Houston, Texas with the U.S. Airforce and Mrs. E.E. (Doris) Scheer, Sioux City.

Also surviving are a brother, W.F. Grahlmann of LeMars and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Howees, Fall Creek, Ore.; and Mrs. Wayne Langendorfer, Watertown, S.D., and one grandchild.

The Rev. H.V. Bartz will conduct the services and Burial will be in the city cemetery at LeMars.
