HANS B. BOCK

Hans B. Bock, 79, 4215 Harrison St., Sioux City, a retired farmer, died Monday morning at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Bock was born Nov. 18, 1897, in rural Woodbury County and farmed in Woodbury and Plymouth counties until his retirement in 1965 when he moved to Sioux City. He was a resident of Hinton and served on the city council.

He married Mable F. Boland on Sept. 14, 1921, at Dakota City.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in LeMars, Iowa.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Paul E. of Hinton and Bernard of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. E.A. (Ardis) Gray of Kent, Wash., and Mrs. R. Gene (Grace) Becker of Hinton; seven brothers, John and Clarence, both of Hinton, Arthur of Sergeant Bluff, Fred of LeMars, Richard and Louis, both of Sioux City, and Carl of Moville; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred White of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Lorraine Johnson, of Thurston, Neb., and Miss Viola Bock of Moville; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Bros. Colonial Chapel with Merrill Bean of the Jehovah Witnesses officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Byron, Joe, Merlin and Arthur J. Bock, Douglas Becker and Paul Bronum.
