MRS. ADLAI E. (HATTIE) BOGENRIEF

Service of Praise will be conducted on Friday, June 5, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Sioux City, Iowa. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 Thursday evening June 4, at the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Pastor Ronald Flentgen and Vicar Steve Nickodemus will conducting the services.

Hattie Bogenrief was born in Hinton, Iowa, on July 25, 1897. She spent her entire life living in the Hinton community. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid of Calvary, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Hinton Garden Club.

Mr. and Mrs. Bogenrief had the pleasure of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in June of 1979, prior to Mr. Bogenrief’s death in November 1979.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Chester (Mildred) Lahrs, Mr. and Mrs. Forest (Irene) Jones; four grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce (Diana) Lahrs, Jenny and Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney (Sandra) LaBahn, Chad, Megan, Julie and Denny Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adlai E., two grandsons, Steve Jones and Richard Jones.

Mrs Adlai E. Bogenrief. 83. of Hinton, died Wednesday (June 3, 1981), in a Sioux City hospital of a brief illness.

Services will be at 1.30 p.m. Friday in the Calvary Lutheran church in Sioux City. Rev. Ronald Flentgen and Vicar Steve Nickodemus will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Nelson-Berger Northside funeral home.

Mrs. Bogenricf, the former Henrietta Martha Riediger. was born July 25. 1897, at Hinton and was a lifelong area resident. She was married June 24, 1919 at Hinton. Mr. Bogenrief died Nov. 10. 1979, in Sioux City. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran church, the ladies aid and quilting group of the church. Hinton Garden club and the American Legion auxiliary at Hinton.

Survivors are two daughters. Mrs. Chester (Mildred) Lahrs and Mrs Forrest 'Pat" (Irene) Jones, both of Hinton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
