KATHERINE M. WILLER

Katherine M. Willer, 86, of Brunsville, died Saturday (Dec. 22, 1984) at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after a long illness.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brunsville. Rev. Alfred Walck officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. A prayer service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Willer, the former Katherine M. Papritz, was born June 26, 1898, in Holstein. She moved to Akron in 1900 with her parents. She graduated from high school at Akron and graduated from the Springfield Normal School in Springfield, S.D. She taught in rural schools in South Dakota and Iowa.

She married John Willer Feb. 25, 1926, in Plymouth County, and lived the rest of her life in Brunsville area. Mr. Willer died in 1963.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, its ALCW and the Garden Club of Brunsville.

Survivors are two sons, Alvin of Brunsville and Charles of LeMars; three daughters, Mrs. Glen (Paula) Lawrensen of Vermillion, S.D., Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Lubben of LeMars and Mrs. Ray (Carol) Schlotfeldt of Webster City; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Papritz of Williamsburg and one sister, Mrs. Floyd (Clara) Nelson of Haden Lake, Idaho.
