REMSEN, Iowa -- Carolyn Lea (Broderson) Rosales, 30, of Remsen died unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at her home in Remsen.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen, with the Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Centerville, S.D. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today, with a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m., at Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.

The former Carolyn Lea Broderson was born Aug. 16, 1974, at Sioux City, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Mitchell) Broderson. She grew up in Le Mars and attended Gehlen Catholic Schools. Carolyn had lived in South Sioux City and was employed with M.C.I. and also with Opportunities Unlimited in Sioux City. The last year, she had lived in Remsen.

Carolyn loved cooking, reading and enjoyed being with her family and visiting nieces and nephews. The most important focus in her life was her two children, and she enjoyed traveling with them.

Survivors include her two children, Tanner Jacob and Alexis Caroline; her father, Joseph Broderson of Remsen; three sisters, Cathy Thompson and her husband, Randy, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Elizabeth Wolf and her husband, Michael, of Le Mars and Cynthia Broderson of Glenwood, Iowa; a brother, Damian Broderson of Le Mars; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Broderson; and a sister, Jean Broderson.
