JOSEPH COOK, LE MARS, DIES

Joseph A. Cook, 67, of LeMars, well known banker who was associated with the LeMars Savings Bank for 43 years, died Friday after a one-week illness.

Mr. Cook attended Westmar College, and in 1910 became associated with the LeMars Savings Bank. He was born Sept. 14, 1886, at Sacaton, Ariz. He married Marie Jessie Schneider in 1909.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John Mordoff of Glendale, Cal., and Mrs. Lois Hoa of San Francisco, Cal.; a sister, Mrs. Ella Blattgerste of Schaller, Ia.; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mauer funeral chapel at LeMars. Rev. James Ransom officiated. Burial was in the cemetery at Schaller, Ia.
