FRELON E. CORWIN

Frelon E. Corwin, 96, rural Sioux City, died Monday (May 31, 1982) in a Sioux City nursing home after a brief illness.

Services were at 1 p.m. Thursday in the United Methodist church in Hinton.

Rev. Dale Stone, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery in Sioux City.

Thee was a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Corwin was born March 3, 1886, in Rock Valley. He attended Morningside College and Iowa State University.

He married Hattie E. Elliott Feb. 3, 1909, in Candor, N.Y. She died Dec. 12, 1979, in Sioux City. He was a farmer in Sioux County most of his life.

From 1936 to 1941 he operated a feed mill in Hinton and farmed in the Hinton area for six years, retiring in 1948. Mr. Corwin was a member of the United Methodist church in Hinton.

Survivors are two sons, Richard of Sioux City and Francis L. of Bellflower, Calif.; one brother, Robert G., of Ukiah, Calif.; two sisters, Lily Tennent and Frances Reeves, both of Baltimore, Md.; six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
