MRS. JOE THOMPSON TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Joe Thompson, 65, passed away in a Sioux City hospital this Thursday at noon. She had been a patient in the hospital for the past nine weeks and had been in ill health for a number of years.
Mrs. Thompson was born July 1, 1884, at Guttenberg, Iowa, and came to Sioux City with her parents when she was a child. She was united in marriage to Joe Thompson, March 23, 1903, and they lived on a farm south of Hinton for a number of years locating in Hinton in 1910, where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Hinton Methodist church.
Surviving besides her husband, include four sons, Lloyd of Grand Junction, Colo., Elsworth of Peach Springs, Ariz., Kenneth of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Martin of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Trometer of Hinton, and Mrs. Ralph Kitterman of Kanawha, Iowa; and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are imcomplete at this time but will probably be next Monday.
