MRS. JENNIE LUIKENS

Mrs. Jennie Luikens, who resided at 212 Plymouth St. SW in LeMars passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital on June 21, 1956.

Jennie VanderBerg was born January 3, 1874, in the Netherlands. She was married to Lewis Luikens, a rural mail carrier, on February 14, 1898, in LeMars. They were lifelong members of LeMars.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 24, at 2:00 p.m. at Luken’s Funeral Home with Rev. J.D. Ransom officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery under the direction of Luken’s.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Florence) Gellerman of LeMars and Mrs. I.W. Rupp of Marshall, Minnesota. One son, Charles of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, and a brother, Jacob VanderBerg of Stockton, Indiana. Four grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
