WESTFIELD, Iowa -- Eleanor M. (Faust) Klausing, 85, of Columbus Grove, Ohio, formerly of Westfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at Vancrest Nursing Home in Delphos, Ohio.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron, Iowa, with Monsignor Richard Zenk officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Eleanor was born April 11, 1916, in Kelso, Wash., the daughter of Charles and Mae (Heater) Munsil. In October 1932, she was married to Thomas McGonigle until 1946. She moved to Iowa in 1947, and married Edward J. Faust on April 3, 1952, in Onawa, Iowa. She worked as a silkpress for 35 years. She also worked as a cook at Westfield School from 1969 to 1970, and the Knotty Keg from 1970 to 1974.

On June 10, 1986, she married Leonard Klausing and moved to Columbus Grove and lived very happily, enjoying family, friends, traveling and going out to eat.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard Klausing; a son and his wife, Gary and Mary Ann McGonigle of Kent, Wash.; two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Randy Balzer of W. Burlington, Iowa, and Dianna and Russ Brown of Cherokee, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a wonderful extended family in Ohio of whom she loved; and a brother and his wife, Bud and Maxine Munsil of Port Albernice, B.C. She will be greatly missed.
