Ayden Astidias, five-month-old son of of A.J. and Keri (Klein) Astidias of Le Mars, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Ayden was born Aug. 3, 2004, at Le Mars

Survivors include his parents, A. J. and Keri Astidias of Le Mars; one brother, Preston at home; maternal grandparents, Chuck and Joan Klein of Remsen; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Magola Astidias of Cucuta, Colombia; paternal great-grandmothers, Margarita Solano and Margarita Jaimes and paternal great-grandfather, Luis Alfonso Astidias, all of Cucuta, Colombia; five uncles, Brian Klein of Richfield, Minn., Kevin and his wife, Melanie Klein of Remsen, Ben Klein of Le Mars, Edgar and his wife, Ruth Astidias and Favian Astidias and his fiancée Andrea Corrales, all of Cucuta, Colombia; two aunts, Kristin Klein of Bellevue, Neb., and Julie Klein of Le Mars; and one cousin, Hilary Valentina of Cucuta, Colombia.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Elmer and Melinda Klein and Leonard and Mary Reichling and paternal great-grandfather, Marcos Aurelio Meneses.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen with the Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Remsen. Friends may call anytime after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen. There will be a parish rosary 3 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at the funeral home.

A memorial fund has been established in Ayden's name at Primebank in Le Mars.
