CAUSE OF DEATH: …following a lengthy illness.

OCCUPATION: After graduation from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1955, he then moved to California before entering the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. After their marriage the couple made their home in Columbus, Ga., until 1961, when they returned to Remsen. He owned and operated Web’s Body Shop. He later owned and operated Web’s Lounge in Remsen from 1969 to 1975. He was also employed as a claims adjuster with LeMars Mutual Insurance Co. for several years. He then owned and operated Web’s in LeMars from 1976 to 1984. He entered Happy Siesta Health Care Center in August 2000.
MEMBER OF: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Remsen, IA
SURVIVORS: …include his wife; three daughters, Cami and her husband, Ron Hoffman and Carla Weber, all of Remsen, and Christi and her husband, Terry Hoffman of LeMars; a son and his wife, Rick and Lisa of Alton, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Doug of Omaha.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …his parents; two infant grandchildren; a sister, Lynn Langel; and a brother-in-law, Larry “Butch” Langel.
