SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 1st MARRIAGE: Frances Gehling, May 5, 1936, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Carroll, Iowa.
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE: Alvina (Werner) Schreck, Nov. 26, 1977, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Dedham.
OCCUPATION: In his first marriage, they farmed in the Carroll, Gilmore City and Fonda areas until 1957. They moved to LeMars where he owned and operated the John Deere Implement dealership. Ltaer he drove school bus for several years in LeMars. She died Dec. 28, 1976. In his second marriage, they lived in LeMars and spent winters in Mesa, Ariz., from 1977 to 1997. In his retirement he recycled lumber, keepsakes, and collectibles from old houses and buildings.

SURVIVORS: …include his wife; three daughters, Janice Wendl of Omaha, Mary Lou and her husband, Domenic Mordino of Scottsdale, Ariz, and Joan and Bob Thomas of St. Louis, Mo.; two sons and their wives, Mark and Karen Wendl of Edgar, Neb, and Mike and Paula Wendl of New York, N.Y.; three stepchildren, Deanna (Schreck) and her husband, Dave Herrmann of Omaha, Marvin and his wife, Donna Schreck of Omaha, and Wayne Schreck of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a step grandchild; three sisters, Agnella Meiners of Dedham, Sister Joan Marie Wendl, F.S.P.A., of La Crosse, Wis., and Sister Lydia Wendl F.S.P.A., of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother and his wife, Victor and Marie Wendl of Carroll; and a sister-in-law ___ Wendl, of Carroll.
