OCCUPATION: The couple farmed in the Akron area until 1962, when they retired and moved to Sioux City. He died July 19, 1968. She was a housekeeper at St. Joseph’s Hospital and also several years at St. Luke’s. She also operated the Uptown Hotel in Sioux City until 1981, when she moved to Akron.
MEMBER OF: St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Akron, IA
SURVIVORS: …include two sons and their wives, Robert and Kathleen Utesch and James and Marion Utesch, all of Akron; seven grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: ..a son, Arlo; a brother, Ross; and a sister, Mildred.
