Merrill, Iowa-Allen J. Weidauer, 81, of Merrill died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Merrill, with the Rev. Sue Thomas officiating. Private family graveside services will be in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 9 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.
Mr. Weidauer was born Feb. 18, 1919, near Merrill, the son of Otto and Sophia (Brandsetter) Weidauer. He graduated from Merrill High School in 1937.
He married Mary Jane Zimmerman on May 26, 1943, in Nevada, Iowa. He was a farmer in Plymouth County, Iowa.
He was a member of Stanton E.U.B. Church and First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Wayne of Merrill; two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Ron Hostetler of Sergeant Bluff and Susann and Darwin Herbst of Merrill; two granddaughters, Gwendy and Holly Herbst; a sister, Dorothy Logan of Diller, Neb.; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Weidauer of Pomeroy, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Merle Weidauer.
