THOMAS BRITT DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS

Thomas Britt of Stanton township died in a LeMars hospital on Monday of last week at the age of 53, after a brief illness. He was taken to the hospital a few days prior to his death which was due to an illness of peritonitis.

Mr. Britt was born November 3, 1879, in Union township and was a lifelong resident of Plymouth County. On attaining manhood he engaged in farming and made a success of his vocation. He was united in marriage on February 22, 1905, to Margaret Ruhland of this county. To this union were born four children, Meinert, Mrs. Arthur Allison, Alois and Vernon, who, with their mother survive. He is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, Mrs. James Carel, Mrs. Catherine Carel, and Joseph Britt of LeMars, James Britt of Pipestone, Minn., and Mrs. C.N. Lite of Hinton and many other relatives.

The funeral was held Thursday morning at St. Joseph church in Lincoln Township, Rev. Father Bernard Kocker officiating. Interment was made in the St. Joseph cemetery in Lincoln.

His death is deeply deplored by many friends and neighbors.
