Wm. I. McMahon
William I. McMahon, who resided at Lansing, Iowa, passed away October 11, 1957, there. He was seventy four years of age and his death came suddenly.

Mr. McMahon was born February 1, 1883 at Colesburg. He farmed until eight years ago and has since been scalemaster in Lansing. He farmed in Plymouth County near Merrill until 1927 and in Allamekee county since then.

He was united in marriage with Anna Gorman on Januarly 3, 1912 at St. Joseph's church, Ellendale.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 14 at 8 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception church at Lansing and burial was in the Ellendale Cemetery near Merrill on Tuesday. Rev. Father Schmitt officiated.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Larson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Mrs. Harry (Helen) Mulholland of Cedar Rapids; a son, Norbert McMahon of Maywood, Illinois.

Fifteen grandchildren also survive; one brother, Joe A. McMahon of Dubuque, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Heatley of Harpers Ferry; and Mrs. Cecilia Gehrig and Sister M. Dividica, both of Dubuque. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive.
