ANDREW BRANGWIN
Andrew Brangwin, 72, passed away at Veterans Hospital, Sioux Falls, on December 23, after a long sickness.
Mr. Brangwin was born September 17, 1887, at Akron and was active in concrete construction work as well as electrical and tower construction for Wincharger Corporation. From 1941 to 1954 he was sexton at the LeMars City Cemetery. He retired in 1954. He was a lifelong Plymouth County and LeMars resident. His parents were the late John and Isabelle Murphy Brangwin.
Mr. Brangwin’s marriage to Fern Bohlken took place January 27, 1949, in LeMars. He had been hospitalized since last September.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 26, at 2 p.m. at the Mauer Funeral Home with burial in the LeMars City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Fern; a brother, John Brangwin and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Booth of Aurelia.
He was preceded in death by a sister. He was a veteran of World War I and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
