Lorraine (Oltmanns) Kenny, 63, of Peru, Ill., died Friday morning, Nov. 14, 2008, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.

Mrs. Kenny was born Aug. 29, 1945, in Le Mars, the daugther of Adolf and Regina (Harms) Oltmanns. She was employed at Hobb's in Spring Valley, Ill., then as an over-the-road truck driver for a number of years, and then in the shipping department at Badge-a-Minute.

She married Michael Kenny on Oct. 29, 1983.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Peru, where she served as a Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by two sons Michael Harker of London, England, and Dale Gosnell, of LaSalle, Ill.; her mother Regina Oltmanns, of Le Mars, four grandchildren; three brothers, Edwin (Evelyn) Oltmanns, of Des Moines, Gerald (Shirley) Oltmanns of Sacramento, Calif., and Robert (Laurie) Oltmanns, of Le Mars; and two special family members, Richard "Dick" Tostovarsnik, and Carol Morris, caretaker and life long friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 24, 2001, her father, and one sister, Arlene Hughes.

Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Peru with the Rev. Timothy Kenyon, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Troy Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are through Mueller and Pagani Funeral Home in LaSalle.
