Adolph Witt

Three aged Remsen residents are listed among the departed dead the week: Adolph Witt... died at Sioux City last Wednesday....Adolph Witt was 65 years of age. He was born August 14, 1855, In Schleswig, Germany, and came to the United States in 1871, settling in Scott county, Iowa. He came to Plymouth county settling near Remsen in 1884 and was married there in 1887 to Marie D. Harnack. To their union three children were born. Mrs. Witt died in 1907, and Mr. Witt continued to make his home with his children.
