Frank Perkins, nephew of Dr. Hackett and a young man about seventeen years old died Monday morning at 2:30 o'clock of heart disease and dropsy. He was buried yesterday at 3 P.M. He has been afflicted for about three years and death brings relief to a patient endurer of a severe affliction.

~Note: Per Plymouth County Courthouse Death Records: died 31 Oct 1887; aged 19 yrs, 3mos, 2da; born Virginia; res of IA 6 yrs; buried LeMars, Iowa. [The tombstone placed later has an incorrect year of death for Frank Perkins.]
