FORMERLY KINGSLEY RESIDENT PASSES AWAY IN HAMPTON HOSPITAL

Mrs. Cecelia Ryan, a former resident of Kingsley community, passed away December 11th at the hospital at Hampton, Iowa, after several weeks illness, following a serious operation, says the Kingsley News-Times.

Mrs. Ryan was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bride of Kingsley. She was born September 7, 1893. She was 51 years, 3 months and 4 days of age at the time of her death, being the youngest of a family of 12 children.

She grew to womanhood in this vicinity and attended the Kingsley and Marcus schools, after which she engaged in teaching in the rural schools in Plymouth county.

On October 15, 1919, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Ryan, of Hampton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband July 4, 1928.

Mrs. Ryan leaves to mourn her departure four brothers and seven sisters: John L. Bride, Yankton, S.D.; Edward E., of Remsen; J.P., of Sioux City; and Walter, of Moville; her twin sister, Mrs. Walter Lage, of Kingsley; Mrs. Fanny Dugan, Mrs. W.L. Clouse, Mrs. John Timmins, all of Kingsley; Mrs. Thos. Murphy, of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Geo. Matlock, of Melville, Sask., Canada; Mrs. J.A. Hall, Klamath Falls, Oregon.
