OCCUPATION: She came to the United States as an infant and lived in Minnesota. She later settled in LeMars, Iowa, where she was employed with a bank and as a model. After their marriage the couple farmed near Akron, Iowa, until 1945, when they moved to Sioux City. She was employed at the Moose Lodge. Her husband died in April 1982, in Sioux City.
SURVIVORS: …include two sons, David L. and Robert E., both of Sioux City; a daughter, Gloria D. of Philadelphia; two sisters, Gertrude Brower of Sioux City, and Evelyn Davidson, of Glen Mills, Pa.; four brothers, Bill Van Hazel of Omaha, Al Van Hazel of Casa Grande, Ariz., Hank Van Hazel of Tucson, Ariz., and George Van Hazel of Marina, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …a sister, Helen O’Connor; and two brothers, Bert and Richard Van Hazel.
