Julie Harpenau Layeux, 63, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in Rockford, Ill.

She is survived by her husband Bob Layeux, Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Kerry and Tony Beaulieu of Denver, Colo., Shaun and Katie Bouback of Rockford, and one son Paul and his fiancée Anita of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandsons, Owen Beaulieu and Austin Bouback; her father, Isidore Harpenau of Remsen; six sisters, Donna and Lynn Nuebel of Le Mars, Nancy and Lee Peterson of Minneapolis Minn., Sara and Denny Gralapp of Remsen, Grace and Jim Rutan of Port Charlotte, Fla., Susan and Randy McCall of Ord, Neb., and Colleen and Jack Meyer of St. Paul, Minn.; and four brothers, Ken and Jane Harpenau of Wahoo, Neb., Ned and Jane Harpenau of Remsen, Steve and Lynda Harpenau of Omaha, Neb. And Joe and Marcia Harpenau of Remsen.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Harpenau and a brother, Mark Harpenau.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Rockford. Visitation will be on Friday night from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Saturday morning at the church from 9 a.m. until service time.
