OCCUPATION: The lived in the Grand Meadow area until retiring to Kingsley. He farmed and worked as a carpenter until his retirement in 1985. After retiring from farming, he became manager of Kingston Apartments in Kingsley until retiring from that in 1995.
SURVIVORS: … include his wife; two sons and their wives, Kenneth and Betty Powell, of LeMars, and Jack and Loretta Powell of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six great stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Loretta Kahly and Charlotte Woodward; and a sister-in-law, Eulalah Powell.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …two brothers, Arlo and Gilbert; and a sister, Alice Woodward.
