BOYDEN, Iowa -- Florence Agnes Paulsen, 71, of rural Boyden died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Orange City Hospital in Orange City, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, Iowa, with the Rev. James Tigges officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Granville. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday, with a parish rosary at 5:30 p.m., and a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m., at Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon, Iowa.

Miss Paulsen was born March 15, 1930, in Remsen, Iowa, the daughter of Hans John and Cecilia (Beckman) Paulsen. She moved with her parents to a farm near Granville in 1932, and then to a farm near Boyden in 1935. She received her education from St. Anthony's Catholic School in Hospers, Iowa. She remained on the home place until the time of her death.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hospers. She enjoyed quilting and hand work.

She leaves to cherish her memories, many, many cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father on Jan. 19, 1967; her mother on May 3, 1974; and a baby brother in 1935.
