OCCUPATION: They farmed south of Remsen and he did custom work for 45 years in the Remsen area. He also drove truck for Arens and Jaminet Trucking. He retired in May 1984. After his retirement, he worked part time for the Farmers Co-op Elevator in Remsen for eight years.
SURVIVORS: … include his wife; three sons, Dale of South Carolina, Francis “Frank” of Remsen and Mark and his wife, Marjean, of Remsen; two daughters and their husbands, Mary Kay and Robert Theil of Remsen and Diane and Jack Jacobs of Clarinda, Iowa; a brother, James of Merrill, Iowa; three sisters, Addie George of Remsen, Rita and her husband, Harold Wanderscheid, of LeMars and Edna Mae and Cyril Haupert of Granville, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Virginia and her husband Marvin Marklein of Granville and Carol Pick of Remsen.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …his parents; a granddaughter, Grace Marie Nacke; two brothers, Milo and Darold Pick; a brother-in-law, Louis George; and a sister-in-law, Cleo Pick.
