OCCUPATION: The couple lived in Sheldon. He died in 1977. She was employed as a cook at the Christian Retirement Home for 10 years, she was also a home health aide.
SURVIVORS: …include two sons and their wives, Henry J. and Marlene and Ivan and Jan, all of Sheldon; seven daughters, Marlene and her husband, Alan Vande Kamp of Rock Valley, Iowa, Leona and her husband Vern Vande Kamp of Orange City, Iowa, Ada and her husband Robert Geels of Sheldon, Helen and her husband, Robert Bajema of Sioux Falls, S.D., Irene Schmidt of Sioux Center, Iowa, Deanne Pennings and Shiela Jones, both of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 33 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Peter and Jake both of Orange City, Iowa, Minderd of Primghar, Iowa; two sisters, Cynthia Hofland of Orange City, Iowa, and Tena Kramer of Ireton, Iowa.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …her parents; one daughter, Julianna Vander Pol; one brother; one great granddaughter; and one great grandson.
