SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE:
OCCUPATION: He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific from 1942 to 1945. Following his discharge, he returned to LeMars, where he was employed with Vollmars Shore Store. The couple moved to Hawarden in 1952, where he operated Vollmars-Peterson Shoe Store. In 1962, the named changed to Peterson Family Shoe Store, which he operated until retiring in 1983.
SURVIVORS: …include his wife; a daughter, Carole Peterson of Sheldon, Iowa; a son-in-law, Larry Opdahl of Hawarden; mother-in-law, Mary Wilhelmi of LeMars; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …two daughters, Lynn Opdahl and Jane Francis Peterson in infancy; and a brother, John P. Peterson
