OCCUPATION: The couple farmed near Akron on the family farm in Johnson Township until 1962, when they moved to the Kingsley area and farmed in Arlington township. In 1973, they moved back to the family farm.
SURVIVORS: …include his wife; two daughters, Kathy Poeckes and her husband, Dennis, of Remsen, and Karen Madden of Sioux City; six sons, Vincent and his wife Charlene of Sioux City, Duane and his wife, Alberta, of Akron, Donald Jr., of Merrill, Jason and Roman, both of Akron, and Russell and his wife, Charlotte of Merrill; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Frank and his wife Dorothy of LeMars; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Schuettpelz of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Joe (Darlene) Goebel and Mrs. Dorothy Delperdang, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Nathan (Deloris) Riley of California and many nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …his parents; a brother, Clifford; and a grandson, Duane Nicholas Madden, Jr.
