LE MARS MAN, 37, DIES OF INJURY SUFFERED MAY 1

LE MARS, Iowa—Special: Dwight Morehead, 37, died Tuesday in a Sioux City hospital from injuries suffered while unloading lumber near LeMars May 1.

Mr. Morehead had been hospitalized for two months with severe head injuries suffered when strong winds forced him to lose control of a large sheet of plywood he was unloading for the Veale Lumber Company.

Funeral services for Mr. Morehead will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. L.J. LaVelle officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Morehead was born May 8, 1930, in Akron, Iowa. He married Patricia Uhl Jan. 2, 1952, in Leeds.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters at home, Deanna and Darla; a brother, Arvel of LeMars; a sister, Mrs. John VanVoorst of LeMars; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Morehead of LeMars.
