MRS. GERALD BOWERLY

Mrs. Gerald Bowerly, 74, Springfield, Ore., the former Lillian McGrory of LeMars, died at Springfield Monday after a brief illness. Friends here learned she had been ill with the flu for several days.

Mrs. Arnold Coppock, LeMars, received the death message. She said the couple was married five years ago and had settled in Oregon. Mr. Bowerly also grew up in the LeMars area and is well known here.

Funeral services and burial will be at Springfield.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Noel (Helen) Jones, Marshalltown; and two grandchildren, Kathy and Mark, and her mother, Mrs. McMahan, 96, who resides at Marshalltown.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones left immediately for Oregon, friends learned.

Mrs. Bowerly was a longtime member of St. James parish in LeMars. She and her husband had visited here many times since their marriage.
