KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Loretta Graham, 88, of Kingsley died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley, with the Rev. Thomas J. Topf of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley officiating. Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today, with a rosary at 4 p.m., and a Scripture service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Loretta was born Dec. 24, 1915, in Kingsley, the daughter of James and Katie (Gabel) Timmins. She grew up in Kingsley, graduating from Kingsley High School.
She married Floyd Graham in 1944 at Kingsley. After their marriage, Loretta and Floyd moved to Moville, Iowa, where he worked for IPS, later moving to Sloan, Iowa, where Floyd was a manager of an IPS district. Loretta worked at a pharmacy and variety store while the couple lived in Sloan. They enjoyed traveling and camping. Loretta's husband, Floyd, died in January of 1978.
Later in July of 1978, Loretta moved back to Kingsley, where she had lived until the present time. While living in Kingsley, Loretta worked at Colonial Manor Nursing Home until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and St. Michael's Guild.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Allen, and her husband, James W., of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Floyd, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Blanche Gollhofer and Marie Timmons; and two brothers, Louie Timmins and Frank Timmons.
