Amy Loutsch, 20, of Le Mars died Saturday, Oct. 16,1999, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames after a brief illness.

Services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens. Rev. Randy Schon officiated. Burial was at St. Catherine's Cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.

Amy was born Sept. 11, 1979, at Orange City, the daughter of Charles and Kim (Mouser) Loutsch. She was raised near Oycns and attended St. Catherine's
and then St. Mary's Catholic School until the fourth grade. She then attended Remsen Union Community School, graduating in 1998. She was presently a sophomore at Iowa State University in
Ames, pursuing a degree in agronomy. She was employed at ISU in the USDA soil till laboratory and was a crop scout for the Oycns Co-op Elevator.

Miss Loutsch was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church where she was a past Mass server. She was a member of the Agronomy Club, Alumni Association and Weeds Team, all at ISU. At Remsen Union she was on the junior high volleyball and basketball teams, was president of the National Honor Society, was active in choir and band, football cheerleader, drill team, Pep Club, HAVE Club, basketball, softball, track and was the first girl to run cross country at Remsen Union.

She belonged to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Team and was a past member of the Sioux Trails Girl Scouts, 4-H and Little League for many years.

Survivors include her parents of Le Mars; four sisters, Angie of Huxley, Lisa, Rachel and Joanie, all at home; a special friend, Gordon Finch of Le Mars; maternal grandparents, Harold and Luella Mouser of Remsen; paternal grand-parents, Raymond and Joan Loutsch of Le Mars; maternal great-grandfather, Lee Mouser of Orange City; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
