SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE:
OCCUPATION: He entered the United States Army in 1952 and served in Germany during the Korean War before his discharge in 1954. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Remsen and he also continued in his carpentry work. They retired and moved to Remsen March 9, 1994.
SURVIVORS: include his wife, Mavis; three sons, Keith and his wife, Jeanene, Mark and his wife, Doris, and Glen, all of Remsen; three daughters and their husbands, Chris and Dave Heuertz of Remsen, Kelli and Leonard Flack of Sioux City, and Tricia and Jon Gensink of Maurice, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Kunkel of Remsen.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: his parents and a brother, Richard.
