PLACE of BIRTH: in Currie, Minnesota
PARENTS: daughter of P.M. and Anna (Hanson) Ruppert
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: Nic Kamp April 24, 1934
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, LeMars, Iowa
OCCUPATION: She graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Rochester, Minn., in 1929. She was employed as a private duty nurse in the LeMars and Sioux City area prior to her marriage. After their marriage, the couple owned and operated Kamp Oil Co. in Rock Rapids until 1949, when they moved to West Okoboji. They owned and operated Manhattan Beach Cottages on the lake. They retired to LeMars in 1957. Mr. Kamp died May 11, 1976.
SURVIVORS: include two daughters, Mary Jo Bowers and her husband Norman and Susan Kamp, all of Evanston, Ill.; two sons and their wives, Thomas N. Kamp and Linda of Davenport, and John F. Kamp and Sue of Washington D.C.; and seven grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: seven sisters and four brothers
