MARIE HEIDENREICH HERSHBERGER

Marie Heidenreich was born January 15, 1897, in Woodbine, Illinois, to Alexander and Clara Lingford Heidenreich. She graduated from Western Union College in LeMars and was married to Dr. A.R. Hershberger in June 1916. In September 1927 they joined the faculty of Western Union. During her long residence in LeMars, she was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and numerous other organizations. She moved to Lexington, Kentucky, in 1977 where she died September 4, 1981, after a long illness. Her body was donated to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

A memorial service was held for her September 11, 1981, at Trinity Hill United Methodist Church in Lexington.

She is survived by two sons, James, of Austin, Texas, and Robert of Lexington, Kentucky; four grandchildren; and a brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, and a sister.
