OCCUPATION: He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where he was employed in the research department of Land-O-Lakes. In 1977 they moved to the Jahn family farm near Maurice, where he farmed.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; three sons; a daughter; mother and stepfather, Gertrude and Harry Hoekstra of Maurice; and two sisters, Ruth Grohs of Sioux City and Charlotte Kramer of Hinton, Iowa.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: his father and a brother, David.
PLACE of BURIAL: St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Ireton, Iowa
